Ca$hrizard $1000 board painting: Mr. Monopoly, Scrooge and MONEYMON characters over a grid of trading cards, NET WORTH 50,000,000 yen
Ca$hrizard $1000

The art

Art is all about perspective

If the whole painting is worth $1 million, what’s one piece worth? I ask that on every board, every card and every canvas that leaves my studio.

DRAG

The studio wall

Boards, cards, canvases, chrome and a few things that were never meant to hold paint.

Two series on the easel

Locked in, losing track of time

Fifteen hour studio days. I’m having too much fun to stop painting.

The portraits

Collage faces in colour and in ink, painted in front of the city skylines on my wall.

MONEYMON

My characters on cards, boards and bags. CASHQUAZA, Ca$hrizard, Greedgar, Pinky Puff, BLASTBANK and MONAPACHU.

The series

What leaves the studio

Five kinds of work, all with the same banker at the centre.

Boards

Ca$hrizard $1000

Net worth, assets, a signature move and a wealth rank, laid out like a trading card over a grid of real cards. Scrooge, Mr. Monopoly and MONEYMON all want a piece.

Destroying the value, or creating something more valuable?

02

Cards

Your rarest card, painted

An original 1996 Japanese Gyarados holo, one of the first Pokemon cards. Instead of covering it up, I turned it into a one of one that respects the history of the card.

Would you let me paint your rarest One Piece card?

Sculpture

Chrome, hand painted

Formula 1 sculptures, electro chrome plated and painted by hand for Singapore race week. My collectors took every one of them.

We sold all of them. Until next year, Singapore.

Luxury

Birkins, Kellys and Goyard

New characters, new Birkin. If it costs a fortune and holds still, I will paint it.

Been in my bag lately.

Walls

From Copenhagen to Doha

A full wall in Copenhagen painted from a lift, and a giant Mr. Monopoly for the FIFA World Cup in Doha.

Success didn’t take the street out of me.
