A true electronic music pioneer, Adam Beyer has shaped the genre for over three decades, leading the charge as a DJ, producer, and founder of the legendary Drumcode label. In 2026, he continues to push boundaries with his most ambitious year yet - collaborations with GENESI, Massano, Faithless and Armin van Buuren, and a coveted spot on the Coachella lineup performing across both weekends.
It's also a landmark year for Drumcode, as the label celebrates its 30th anniversary with a series of global events culminating in an epic three-day celebration in Mallorca. Add to that a sold-out Drumcode show at Drumsheds in March and a returning RESISTANCE Ibiza residency at Amnesia throughout the summer, and Beyer remains as dominant a force in electronic music as ever, proving that the genre is an ever-evolving movement, and he is one of its greatest architects.
Widely celebrated as the pioneer of techno in India, Arjun Vagale steers the course of the country’s expanding underground electronic movement.
Always one step ahead of the game, Bart Skils has established himself as one of Holland’s most respected and highly demanded techno dj’s. His dj sets are celebrated by techno lovers as extremely forward thinking and musically well constructed.
Being part of Adam Beyer’s leading techno imprint Drumcode Records with likeminded artists such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Joseph Capriati, Nicole Moudaber, Luigi Madonna and Sam Paganini they represent the future of the forward thinking techno generation.
His constant flow of top quality releases are internationally rated as some of the most cutting edge techno tracks focussing on pure dancefloor grooves and atmosphere. His massive productions gave him opportunities to remix artists like Moby, Joris Voorn, Nicole Moudaber, Kaiserdisco, Johannes Heil and Kollektiv Turmstrasse.
Besides his passion for dj-ing and producing Skils’ long running residency at his own Amsterdam based imprint “Voltt” have proven pivotal in bringing Amsterdam’s New School generation together. Voltt is widely regarded as one of the leading events in Amsterdam’s internationally acclaimed scene. His massive outdoor festival “Voltt Loves Summer” is praised by many as an absolute highlight of the year; over 15.000 party people attend yearly at an old shipyard in Amsterdam.
His in demand gigs and tour schedule brought him to numerous venues and events worldwide like Awakenings Amsterdam, Berghain Berlin, Fabric London, Cocorico Italy, Rex Paris and Wire festival Tokyo. With these continuous gigs all over Europe and constant flow of releases Skils’ dj star has been rising steadily and is shining bright. Persistently rocking venues and festival sites, he has further underlined his position as one of Amsterdam’s most reliable and authorative dj’s. Bart’s long lasting experience as a dj and his ability to move effortlessly from deep hypnotizing grooves to rolling peaktime techno make Skils a sure-fire crowdmover at any given party.
With over 20 years experience under his belt, Ben Sims has a well-deserved reputation as one of the world's most in-demand and leading techno DJs - a tight, energetic mixer who skilfully weaves together his own distinctive blend of tough funk and hardgrooves, often using three-deck wizardry and plenty of dexterity.
From early formative days earning his stripes spinning hip hop, house and rave on pirate radio, and at parties around Essex and East London, through the 90's as an ever more in demand DJ, and on into the new millennium as a label boss, producer and internationally recognised techno legend in his own right, Ben Sims has spent all his conscious life exploring all facets of underground dance music
Throughout that time, the man has honed his reputation as a tight, energetic mixer who skilfully weaves together his own distinctive blend of tough funk and hardgrooves, often using three-deck wizardry and plenty of dexterity. Be it at clubs like Fabric London, Atomic Jam, Berghain, Florida 135, or any number of festivals around the world, Sims' sets are powerful, memorable, and unique, while constantly pushing the boundaries of a DJ set - utilising a mesmerizing blend of vinyl, CDs, and software.
As well as carving a reputation as one of the world's leading techno DJs, Ben has curated many of his own revered labels over the years. Chief amongst them is Theory - an imprint this year celebrating it's 40th release, that counts amongst it's supporters contemporary connoisseurs like Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, and the old guard of Dave Clarke, Robert Hood, Rolando and more - proof, then, that Sims is on the form of his life production wise.
Riding high on the wave of critical acclaim from his cultured debut long player on Drumcode, 2011's Smoke & Mirrors, an album that voyages into Sim's unique take on techno, coupled with authentic house outings, thanks to guest appearances from Chicago's Tyree Cooper and Detroit's Blake Baxter, whilst also showcasing plenty of dubbed-out and grainy textures.
Sims has put his name to more than 50 releases in the last two decades. During those years, there has also been a steady stream of high profile remixes of scene heavyweights, including Jeff Mills, Adam Beyer, Kevin Saunderson and Chris Liebing, on labels du jour like AXIS, KMS, CLR and Drumcode, all of which have won as much critical praise as they have crossover success.
Despite his veteran status in the scene, Sims has always been keen to evolve. Alongside Kirk Degiorgio, he is co-founder & curator of Machine - a clubnight which focuses on new, unreleased, & upfront music; it's primary home in London, but with editions all across Europe each year. His 'Run it Red' radio show, broadcast via NTSlive and podcasted afterwards, also serves to solely highlight new music.
An accomplished DJ and versatile producer, Boxia is what the music media like to call “one to watch” who broke through with a brace of EPs towards the end of 2015 for Victor Calderone’s Waveform Recordings and Shadow Child’s Food Music. The trend continued into 2016 with fresh releases on Flashmob Ltd, Huxley’s exciting new No Ideas Original label and Drumcode, but having spent the first half of 2017 settling into Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave label roster, Boxia is rapidly becoming an artist who is no longer simply watched but talked about and listened too also.
Boxia’s ‘Colour Sequence’ debut for We Are The Brave was awarded B.Traits’ prestigious ‘Future Sonic Selection” and attracted high praise from Mixmag (“this new one from Boxia - an artist with a lot of promise -is just what the techno doctor ordered”) DJ Mag USA (“Boxia’s latest EP has us itching to get to a dancefloor”) as well as featuring on Monika Kruse’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and being a staple track from tastemakers such as Adam Beyer, Len Faki and London clubbing icon, Fabric, who invited Boxia to contribute to their podcast series ahead of his appearance at the club as part of their We Are The Brave showcase takeover of Room 2. Not that Boxia is a stranger to the London clubbing scene having already featured on line ups for Drumcode at Junction 2 Festival and their Halloween all-dayer at Tobacco Dock.
Boxia returned with his latest EP for We Are The Brave in Summer 2017 and it truly did not disappoint. The appropriately named ‘Point of No Return’ track obliterated dancefloors in clubs and festivals across the globe. From Junction 2 to Movement Detroit, his euphoric anthems have gained considerable support from techno heavyweights such as Adam Beyer, Carl Cox and of course Mr Fitzpatrick himself. The producer’s success in 2017 peaked as he secured his spot on B.Traits’ Future 12 Selection, delivering four stellar mixes for the Radio One show in September this year. Boxia ended 2017 on a high note, offering a remix for Maya Janes Coles’ track ‘Weak’, included on her new album ‘Take Flight’.
Want to dig a little deeper under the surface? Well Boxia is a self confessed “rave anorak” who lives and breathes underground electronic music. His musical education began at a startlingly young age. Surrounded by the alien sounds of his father's collection of electronica records and exposed to rave culture via his sibling’s involvement in a formative UK rave scene, the musical bug was there to be caught, however what followed was a full-blown epidemic of fascination and fixation resulting in a huge vinyl collection, an obsession with the craft of turntablism and an ever-evolving production style that brings out his deep influences to deliver a signature sound of face-melting, dance floor destroying moments.

Despite being considered relatively fresh on the scene, Belgian DJ and producer Charlotte de Witte has amply proven her skill in the studio and behind the decks.
Her fast-paced trajectory reads like a novel. While championing her own style of uncompromising and headstrong techno, she steers her career and music the way she envisions it.
On stage de Witte charms techno heads with her natural ease, composure and expertise. Making it almost look easy to play the biggest stages in the world. Her own studio productions have proven to be intense, addictive and downright impressive, captivating sounding labels like Novamute and Mary Go Wild.
Her curriculum vitae of credentials is simply mind blowing: An Essential Mix debut on BBC Radio 1, a passage at Boiler Room, the cover of DJ MAG and continuous support by Resident Advisor, MixMag and XLR8R. The future looks bright for Charlotte de Witte
Christian Smith is one of the world’s leading exponents of techno, both as a DJ and producer he is always bold and innovative, leading rather than following. With his output in recent years it is hard to imagine a list of prolific producers without his name towards the top.
He has consistently dominated charts and DJs playlists with a steady flow of releases on high profile labels like Drumcode, Plus8/Minus, Cocoon and his own Tronic imprint. Christian Smith has operated at the top of his game for over a decade now, with his trademark housy techno. His latest album "Input-Output" (Tronic 2016), the follow-up to his critically acclaimed ”Stranger Than Paradise” (Tronic, 2014), has secured worldwide praise with a superb dancefloor orientated selection of tracks that explore and showcase his various styles within the techno genre: musical, peak-time and minimal.
Christian’s Tronic label is also one of the top 3 selling techno labels in the world according to Beatport and Christian has also recently celebrated the landmark of Tronic’s 200th release. Another success story is Tronic Radio, a weekly show now syndicated to over 100 stations around the globe. Christian’s touring schedule is busier than ever, including regular Tronic parties in London, Miami, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Amsterdam, New York, Madrid. With yearly guest spots at Richie Hawtin’s “Enter” events, and many Festivals around the world it is certain that Christian will maintain his relevance and position as one of the main ambassadors of techno.
Coyu is one of the most referenced and respected personalities on the techno scene. Fifteen years of an unstoppable DJ career behind the mixer speaks for him. No less appreciated since he founded his cat empire in 2008, Suara, he’s been known to be the inspiration for many because of what he’s achieved, directing a brand that shows no signs of slowing down. What started off as a record label (until this day it’s still one of the most important labels for techno and underground club sounds, as you will be able to see reflected on main charts) is now a symbol for cat and dance music lovers. Coyu directs with great precision a brand that because of such a demand is also a brand of clothes (Suara Store, with a physical store in Barcelona) and a non-lucrative organization that loves and helps street cats (Suara Foundation).
A career-defining moment for the multi-faceted Spanish producer, DJ and label boss Coyu became reality this fall 2019. His eagerly awaited debut long-player it is now a fact. It’s been over seven years of intense introspection and studio work to give birth his first ever album. Don’t expect an LP that serves a club function; “You Don’t Know” branches far beyond a singular sound and shows off just how versatile he can be. In words of Coyu "The album is named ‘You Don't Know’ because many people have a preconceived idea of who I am. Until now, maybe I wasn't smart enough to show them who I really am, my roots, what I love and what I can offer to the music. I'm not just a DJ or a producer who can play or make grooves - I love many different genres and many different kinds of music. With this album I want to change that preconception. I want to show a side of me that people have never seen".
“You Don’t Know” album features collaborations with some of the finest names in techno and electronica worldwide, including legendary vocalist Lazarusman, Mike Leary, The Horrorist, Thomas Gandey (“1+1” first single to be extracted from the album), Gabriella Vergilov and MOBY on “I May Be Dead, But One Day The World Will Be Beautiful Again” track!. As suggested above, “You Don’t Know” is a broad, adventurous album that covers plenty of music ground and takes you on a true electronic trip from one of dance music’s most accomplished names.
Dustin has an career in techno music and the DJs play his records. He did lots of them when he was a young boy. he still makes music all of the times. long story gets short, dustin is an DJ the people can trust.
Enrico Sanguliano is a name you will have noted if you have been anywhere in the electronic music scene for the last few years. Starting out as a sound engineer in Italy, he started to produce electronic music in the 90’s. Italy was his playground, with the illegal rave scene exploding, this was where he made his first break.
International recognition came in 2015 with his remix of DJ Boris’s “Can You Hear Me” on Alleanza, claiming the title as Beatport's highest selling techno track.
Hits kept on coming in the form of “X-Pollination” on Unrilis, “Trrbulence” and ”Start Of Madness” on Drumcode. However, it was his “Moon Rocks” EP that has been his standout career smash hit, and instantly recognisable to fans around the globe. The success of every release earning Beatport's No.1 best-selling techno artist of 2016.
The perfectionist he is, every improving his production skills, “Astral Projection” was a heady euphoric style of techno to come from the Italian producer, coupled with a banging B-side both tracks enjoyed a No.1 Techno chart position, and both reached No.5 in Beatport's overall chart.
Industry support from every corner of the globe along with collaboration and remix projects with only the industries finest, lead him to remix Moby’s classic “Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad” and his debut collaboration with Adam Beyer “Preset Heaven” on the Drumcode A-Sides Vol.6 compilation in 2017, the year in which he was also crowned as Beatport’s highest selling techno artist.
‘Biomoprh’ was the name of his debut album, which was released in June 2018. The 4 part production was his personal musical interpretation of the four stages of evolution. The LP saw Enrico branch out and drop tracks which ventured into the breakbeat and downtempo rhythms fans had yet to see.
Sonar, Awakenings and ADE are just a few of the places you may have seen Enrico rock a dancefloor. Planned tours to South America, Australia, USA and a number of Drumcode showcases all lie ahead where Enrico shows no signs of stopping his continuous string of smash hits, and sharing his passion for everything music.
Is a regular fixture at the world's top clubs and festivals, Glasgow born producer and DJ Gary Beck has long been established as a primary figure in techno.
Known and respected for his unique sound, he has gained support from the best names in the business and released music on some of the genre's leading labels, institutions such as Drumcode, Cocoon and Saved as well as his own BEK Audio imprint.
Since his emergence onto the scene in 2007, Beck has accumulated an impressive list of achievements. Highlights include a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and a Boiler Room session, as well as numerous collaborations with similarly exceptional talents such as Green Velvet, Mark Broom and Speedy J. 2012 saw the release of his seminal debut album 'Bring a Friend' on the legendary Soma Records label.
The last few years have seen Gary Beck's career trajectory continue to soar, with shows at renowned clubs such as Womb Tokyo, Fabric London, Awakenings, Output NYC, and Timewarp, to name a few. In addition to a packed performance schedule, Beck spends time as head of BEK Audio, an imprint which has quickly become one of the most revered techno labels on the scene.'
Green Velvet, initially created by house don Cajmere (aka Curtis Jones) as an outlet for his non-vocal productions and frequent DJing gigs, grew to become even more popular than the man himself, thanks to club singles like "Preacher Man," "Answering Machine" and "The Stalker." Each were infectious, undeniably fun records with simple vocal taglines and a wonderful sense of humor.
Jones, who had nurtured the Chicago house renaissance of the 1990s with his Cajual Records, gained immense success in 1993 with the Cajmere single "Brighter Days" (vocals by Dajae). Later that year, he formed the sub-label Relief mostly for instrumental tracks by himself and others. Besides releases from DJ Sneak, Gemini and Paul Johnson, Green Velvet figured on many of the early Relief singles, including its first, "Preacher Man" as well as "Flash" (also released on the British Open label), "The Stalker" and 1997's hilarious "Answering Machine." Jones began to do supplement his Green Velvet DJing schedule with quasi-live gigs as well, and released his first LP in 1999. His self-titled release on F-111 one year later compiled a dozen of his earlier club hits, and the proper sophomore production album (Whatever) appeared in 2001 on his own Relief label.

With 3 Beatport Techno No.1’s to date, 9 top 10 releases Harvey was also Beatport techno’s 4th best selling artist of 2014. He has released on all the techno stalwarts: Drumcode, Cocoon, Bedrock, Intec and Soma.
Drumcode recently welcomed him back for his 3rd EP with his close to home EP ‘Glasgow Safari’ and his second Drumcode Radio mix.
Loop: “A loop is a sequence of instructions (sounds) that is continually repeated until a certain condition is reached (trance)."
Hyperloop is a new project that pays due to the city of Naples influence in the house and techno world. It's an outlet that has a hint to the Neapolitan style where the essential meaning of loop is explored from all angles. New York, Detroit and Chicago have always shared an intrinsic connection with the South Italian city in terms of sound and on his new EP ‘In the Loop’ you’ll find some traces of that influence too.
Obviously inspired by the Elon Musk experiments in sustainable technology, the idea behind this side project is to explore the functionality of club tracks experimenting with ostinato patterns.
A product of Sweden’s seemingly endless conveyor of techno talent, Ida Engberg has carved herself a career as a DJ/Producer through relentless hard work and passion. Now an internationally recognized talent whose taste for stripped back, sweat-on-the-ceiling techno and her discerning ear for deep house, Ida possesses a growing production catalogue as she ascends amongst the electronic music ranks.
Having picked up the DJing bug at the age of 14, Ida progressed from playing records in her local youth center to her first gig in a small bar in Stockholm by 18. The bar gigs led to club gigs and warm-up spots for international talent that passed through Stockholm’s infamous Cocktail Club, where Ida became a resident. Through contacts and events, Ida began to secure bookings outside of Sweden. “My tactic was to say yes to every opportunity I got to play somewhere, I basically just followed my heart and inner path”, remembers Ida. While in Marbella, Ida was offered the chance to work as a resident DJ over the summer. This experience gave her the confidence to push things forward by relocating to the Mecca of parties and craziness, Ibiza, for a full season in 2005. “Being there was so inspiring, I think taking that journey has definitely led me to where I am today.”
When Ida arrived back in Sweden, she put that inspiration to work producing her own music. Her first releases on Pickadoll and Get Physical in 2007 paved the way for her signing with the international agency Plantage13, and for the next couple years she focused her touring in mostly Germany, Belgium, and Holland, including her first Drumcode gig in 2008. She soon made her impactful debut in the US, at Sunday School for Degenerates WMC in 2009, leading to being signed by the US agency AM Only. Her later productions, including 'Owl’s Nest’/'Little Shadow' (Truesoul, 2010) and her remix of Depeche Mode's Sister of Night in 2011, both gained massive support and topped sales charts worldwide. In 2011, Ida joined the ranks of Adam Beyer’s techno juggernaut Drumcode, making her mark with acclaimed releases like ‘Blue Yonder’ and ‘Junoverse' in 2011, as well as the Adam Beyer collaboration ‘Unanswered Question’ in 2013.
Ida’s versatility is infectious, whether playing big room techno at Drumcode nights & festivals like Awakenings, or deep house at clubs and after hours all around the world. 2013 saw Ida continue her dance floor domination at the world’s most respected clubs like Paradiso in Amsterdam, Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Ushuaia in Ibiza, Cavo Paradiso in Greece, Pacha Ibiza, Gipsy in Moscow, and festivals like Wavefront Festival in Chicago, Ultra Miami & Buenos Aires, Amsterdam Dance Event, and BPM Festival in Mexico, amongst others. This past year, she has guest starred on residencies like Guy Gerber’s Wisdom of the Glove at Pacha Ibiza, Luciano’s Vagabundos at Ushuaia, Row 14 Barcelona’s “El Row on the Road”, and Richie Hawtin’s ENTER. at BPM.
2014 will see a flurry of US dates during her extended stay, including Igloofest Montreal, Story Miami, Spybar Chicago, RebelRave (and a kickoff to her Verboten residency) in Brooklyn, NY. She has a jam packed Miami Music Week this year, including Damian Lazarus’s 8th annual Get Lost celebration, Drumcode, and an exclusive b2b set with Adam Beyer for ENTER. March will see Ida’s Crosstown Rebels debut release before she heads back into the studio. Come summer, catch her in Ibiza & beyond with some exciting new collaborations and guest appearances.
Born in late 1988 under the beautiful Livorno's sun (italy), the "enfant prodige" Ilario Alicante starts to raise is passion for music at the earliest years of his life, when his mother educated him to listen music for his own pleasure.
Time goes by and Ilario takes his first steps into italian nightlife and DJ world, first with some average media, experimenting D.I.Y. mixes within the four walls of his own "epic" room and then digging a personal sound style until he gained the resident-title at "Pachamama Club" (in Pisa).
From this springboard he started hanging around the best italian, german and spanish clubs, finally landing into Cocoon's family, falling in love at first "sight" with house music and her thousand shades, waving from latino-ispanic from a minimal-electro sound.
At this point he devoted his production style only to these rhytms, also if his dj-sets are stuck to the quest of something special every time.
Hardly inspired from artists such as Hawtin, Marco Carola, Villalobos and Luciano. The great bunch of Ilario's production are really estimated inside the international dj-system claque.
"Vacaciones en Chile" directly throws Ilario into the house music business, defining his supernatural talent with "Living Near Africa" (Cecille).
Playing also in 2008 at Rotterdam's Time Warp as the youngest act of ever, now he's performing just in the best world clubs, under the flag of Sven Vath's Cocoon family and Deep Moves Recrods, his own record label.
Nigerian born modern music visionary, DJ and producer who launched his career as A&R for Atlantic Records in New York and went on to found the legendary www.ibadanrecords.com.
Jerome Sydenham's DJ sets are nothing short of phenomenal - veering from deep, intricate, chugging techno, to jackin' tech house, into huge anthemic house moments in the classic vein. Always pursuing his love for techno - both industrial-edged thumpers and deep, soulful Detroit moments, with some melodic beauties along the way.
Starting DJing and producing in 1993, Joel Mull's career spans over two decades. He has released music on labels worldwide and along with Cari Lekebusch, Robert Leiner, Adam Beyer and Jesper Dahlbäck he counts to the first wave of Swedish techno producer who became known around the world as the "Swedish techno sound".
In the mid 90's Joel moved to Hamburg and worked as a resident DJ for 3 years at one of the biggest techno clubs in Germany, Unit Club. This was an important period for him and as a DJ; It learned him how to control the energy of the night on the dance floor, from warm up sets to 10h marathon sets.
As a producer, he is constantly active and has released over 100 releases and under various names such as Icarus and recently Gotzkowsky on the label Dystopian.
Joel is constantly touring and traveling around the world almost every weekend and playing at the main clubs and festivals in the scene. In 2015 he started up the label Parabel together with the agency Parabel Music, focusing on releasing music from their own roster, with a first EP from Patrick Siech. The second release was out October 2015, with Joel himself.
Now recognized as one of the principal profiles in techno, Joseph Capriati has established a reputation as a universally popular and in-demand talent. A naturally charismatic DJ with a back catalogue of standout productions, Joseph is an instinctive performer with a genuine enthusiasm for entertaining. Widely regarded as one-to-watch since making his production debut in 2007, Capriati’s rise to prominence has been relentless. Established as a key artist for Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label; resident at Marco Carola’s ‘Music On’ events in Ibiza; a priority artist for global festival brands Awakenings, Time Warp, Monegros, Tomorrowland and Kazantip; and a firm favorite with club crowds across Europe and North & South America; Joseph Capriati is a unique artist within the electronic scene, whose powerful performances and musical magnetism spontaneously attract affection from fans and peers alike, marking him out as a leading light amongst the next generation of international techno headliners.
2013 was a landmark year for Joseph Capriati. Not only did he release his sophomore 'Self Portrait' album on Drumcode, but the inspirational Italian lit up marquee events across the globe including Berghain Berlin, Space Miami, Pacha New York, Output New York, Stereo Montreal, Cocorico Riccione and Cavo Paradiso Mykonos, plus a festival-hopping summer schedule and a truly magical Ibiza season which saw Capriati complete a euphoric eight-date residency for Music On at Amnesia and make two unforgettable appearances for Circo Loco at DC10. All this comes on top of a series of impressive firsts, including closing the main room of the internationally respected Time Warp Festival in Mannheim; an all-conquering coast-to-coast tour of USA; a marathon 12-hour set in front of a sold-out 7000 capacity Metropolis club in his home town of Naples, and invitations to play back-to back sets with Marco Carola, Danny Tenaglia, Adam Beyer, Dubfire and Dave Clarke. It therefore comes as little surprise to even the most casual observers of Techno that Joseph Capriati’s name now appears as top billing at the most high profile events worldwide. Acknowledged everywhere he goes as an ambassador for the new techno cohort, Joseph is adored by his rapidly growing army of dedicated fans for his honest and humble approach to his art.
Nowhere is this adulation more evident than in the front few rows of any Joseph Capriati gig. One of an exclusive club of touring DJs who don’t just travel to their audience but actually attract an audience to their shows from outside the host country, Joseph Capriati fans travel miles across countries and continents to follow his sound. They are easy to spot with their Italian flags adorned with 'King Capriati' slogans and chants of 'Nap-O-Li, Nap-O-Li'. Those unable to travel have been able to follow Joseph’s landmark shows thanks to his popularity with the audience of live-streaming broadcaster, Be-At.TV, who have covered multiple Joseph Capriati events including his closing set at Time Warp Mannheim, a back-to-back session with Dave Clarke at Awakenings Eindhoven, a guest appearance at Victor Calderone’s Pacha Pool Party at WMC Miami, Drumcode showcase events at ADE AMsterdam and BPM Festival Mexico, and Joseph’s 12-hour marathon sets at Metropolis Naples and Cocorico Riccione. This global popularity is testament to the focus, preparation and energy that Joseph pours into every gig, in spite of an increasingly hectic touring schedule that saw Capriati complete over 130 appearances in 25 countries during 2013.
Despite being a DJ first and producer second, the strength of Joseph Capriati’s production portfolio can be measured in both the projects with which he has been involved and the chart success his releases achieve. A principle act for Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label, November 2013 saw the release of Capriati’s ‘Self Portrait’ album on Drumcode with tracks such a 'Fratello', 'Awake', 'Basic Element' and 'This Then That' captivating new and old Capriati fans alike. More than just a collection of singles, the project illustrated Capriati's ability to spread his studio wings as he brought together a range of influences under a techno motif, illustrating the depth to his music that has seen the Capriati sound enchant dance floors globally and propel Joseph to be central character in the rising popularity of techno worldwide; helping the genre penetrate into remote markets such as South Africa and Honduras as well as traditionally mainstream territories such as Ibiza.
Having made his debut for Marco Carola’s vibrant Music On brand in summer 2012, playing six memorable sets in the legendary main room of Amnesia, over the course of Music On’s opening term, including their closing party, Joseph Capriati returned to Ibiza in 2013 as an official resident for Music On, playing eight parties across the entire four-month season and in the process making the Amnesia main room all his own with his powerful, emotive techno providing the perfect foil to the sultry, energetic grooves with which Marco Carola ruled the Amnesia Terrace. However, Capriati's 2013 Ibiza season didn't stop there with a headline set at the Amnesia Opening party and two show-stopping appearances for Circo Loco at DC10 completing his schedule. Such a continuous and high profile presence on The Island has without doubt raised Capriati's global currency, manifesting itself in a 56 place ranking in Resident Advisor's Top 100 DJ's of 2013 poll and a nomination in the Techno category of DJ Awards Ibiza.
Born and raised in the southern Italian city of Caserta, less than 30km from Naples, Joseph Capriati’s emergence as significant force within Techno continues the strong lineage of talent from the city as he follows in the footsteps of Marco Carola, Rino Cerrone, Gaetano Parisio and Markantonio. Having grown up on a diet of early hip hop and classic house from the likes of Masters At Work, Todd Terry and Eddie Amador, Capriati bought his first DJ console at the tender age of 11; cutting his teeth playing to his friends in garages and basements after school. It was not until he was old enough to attend his first rave party that his passion for techno over-shadowed his early musical influences and set in motion the journey that has taken him to the position he is in today. As Joseph himself remembers, “the first time I heard techno was at Old River Park in Naples in 2003. It was a 12 hours party with Dave Clarke, Billy Nasty and Rino Cerrone. I was totally impressed by that sound and something in my mind changed.”
Inspired and energized, Joseph made the leap into production; slaving away on a home PC and hi-fi speakers, honing his skills for three years and eventually creating his first important records like C’est La Vie and Microbiotik which found their way on to two of the most influential Neapolitan techno labels; Analytic Trail and Globox Records. From this moment on Joseph was made. What followed was an explosion in profile at home and abroad. From his first high profile gig at Naples’s infamous 5000 capacity Golden Gate venue in October 2007, the young Neapolitan has not looked back; spreading his wings and travelling all over the globe. Now located out of Barcelona, Spain Joseph has settled into a good rhythm for his life with his studio based within his home so he can make the most of the increasingly limited time he has available in-between touring to make music and also find time to relax.
Always quick to understand the professionalism and determination required in order to carve out a career for himself; Joseph’s passion and conviction is plain to see in the way he has gone about making and playing music. Whether it be having the confidence to release a debut album containing ambient tracks and Drum & Bass; or the discipline and creativity displayed to convince Adam Beyer to release two multiple-track EP’s on his Drumcode label; or the versatility and insightfulness that characterizes Josephs DJ sets and enables him to connect with crowds across the world; whether he be tearing up an after party in a dark basement with a pitch perfect mix of tech house, or thundering out a peak-time mix to crowds in the desert at Monegros Festival, instinctively dove-tailing with other DJs during back-2-back sessions, or hosting his own marathon parties and playing for 12 hours.
With a path laid out before him and the force of momentum behind him, Joseph Capriati welcomes the future with excited anticipation. “I just want to make music or play gigs everyday. It is the most important thing in my life. When I am in the studio or on stage I feel disconnected from the world and I enter another dimension where there is just the music, the people and myself. I could be sick, or be feeling sad about something, but when I’m playing I totally forget everything and this makes me happier. Looking at the people dancing and following my musical trip is an amazing thing. There is nothing better than this for me.” So the future for Joseph Capriati is simple. Keep on doing what he loves and do it with a passion and commitment that has proved so potent a driving force to this point.
Labeled by many as a sovereign tastemaker within the international electronic music community, Amsterdam-based DJ/producer and FORMAT-founder Juan Sanchez continues to consistently and relentlessly push techno boundaries. His trademarked stripped-down sound, which is as sophisticated as it is potent, has made him a respected name in his league and a preferred pick for numerous promoters across the globe.
As a DJ, he has graced peak time slots at clubs and festivals around the world. In 2014, Juan got invited to play at the Dutch edition of one of the world's most famous techno shindigs, Time Warp, which was followed by another prestigious gig at Berlin's Berghain in 2015.
However, Juan’s skills stretch further than just the decks: his studio output has appeared on a wealth of labels such as Drumcode, Stockholm LTD and Wolfskuil amongst many others.
Aside from DJ’ing and studio duty, Juan also operates his own record label FORMAT, which serves as an outlet for potent and mature underground techno. With a seventh release by Juan himself appearing soon on the label, FORMAT cuts have been garnering support from Adam Beyer, Laurent Garnier, Rødhåd, Len Faki and DVS1 amongst many others. And judged by the many project and gigs lined up, 2016 is promising to be another bar-raising year for the likeable Dutch-Spanish artist…
A Beatport chart-topping regular, Julian Jeweil is a French DJ based in southern France and Berlin. This nonstop world-touring artist found his signature sound through his numerous productions and live sets, all characterized by a melodic style of techno.
The adventure began in 2007 when he released his first hit “Air conditionné”, which quickly ranked #1 in Beatport sales - the first of a long series of number ones to come.
In 2010, Julian signed with two prestigious labels: Cocoon, on which he released the “Color” EP - its single “Soho” ranked #1 in the Beatport Techno Top 100 -, and Plus 8 Records. The same year, the “Techno Corner” EP was released on Form Music, his friend Popof’s label. A remix was also commissioned by Moby (“Stay Down”). In 2011, he confirmed his standing in the Techno scene by releasing his second EP with Plus 8 Records (Hermanos Ep).
In 2012, Julian Jeweil released his third EP with Plus 8 Records (Bastard EP), featuring five tracks played and supported by the greatest artists out there. One year later, he started the year the best way he ever could have, with two remixes for prestigious artists Deadmau5 & Pan-Pot that both charted #1 in the Beatport Techno Top Ten. They were followed by the excellent “Mad” EP with Form Music.
Julian also signed in 2013 three releases with Minus, Richie Hawtin’s renowned label: “Don’t Think” EP (Number one in the Beatport Top 100), “She’s Hot” EP, and a remix for the Techno Master, Adam Beyer, who produced alongside Ida Engberg the track “Unanswered question” on Drumcode. In 2014, he released two more EPs with Minus: “Rumble” and “Los Pistolos” E P.
In 2015, amidst an increasingly dense touring schedule, more releases were met with astounding success: a new EP, “Bird”, on Minus and a remix, “COAR,” commissioned by artist Marc Houle for his album Restored (release date: April 2015, also on Minus). Fall 2015 in particular saw a series of remixes released - commissioned by legend Pete Tong, Sian, Pig & Dan and Joseph Capriati. September also saw one of the artist’s greatest achievements: four of his tracks were simultaneously listed in Beatport’s monthly Top Ten Best Selling tracks : “And We”, “Meteorite”, “Bird” and “Wax”. End of 2015, Julian Jeweil was officially crowned Number 1 Techno DJ on Beatport. In 2016 Julian Jeweil released another EP on Form Music, “Destination”, an instant success critically and commercially.
One year later, following an intensive touring schedule highlighted by multiple performances worldwide on the Ultra Music Festival/Resistance stage, the French heavyweight resumed working with Adam Beyer and released his first - and hugely successful - two EPs on Drumcode, “Rolling” and “S pace”.
In 2018, Julian Jeweil was finally ready to release his first LP, “Transmission” LP, also on Drumcode. The album was an early 2019 monstrous hit, generating multiple Beatport chart-toppers and hitting the Top 3 All Genres charts.
Frederic Berger and Patrick Buck have rocked the right clubs, remixed the acts that matter, put their names in bold across festival marquees, retained the highest quality through honest endeavour and made the name Kaiserdisco a worldwide authority with guru-like guidance of the groove.
A case of great minds thinking alike after pooling (and maintaining) their own careers - Berger as part of Nudisco, Buck juggling a mass of other projects - their debut long player ‘In No One’s Shadow’ laid down the Kaiserdisco manifesto and the ability therein to tilt dancefloors smoothly, minimally, tribally, forcefully and progressively in their favour. With the confidence of the title running through every dropped needle and pushed play button, the Hamburg duo have enveloped the dancefloor in their own resilient way since joining forces in 2008. Their methods are in part down to being “very careful with decisions”, and relaying the fruits of a telepathy in which they admit they’ve “never had a disagreement.”
With its almost business-like invitation, follow-up ‘Meet Me on the Floor’ required little more introduction but offered classiness by night never found on the back foot, with a little toughness and quiet determination when required and subtle variations in flavour from beach to bolthole. Once a burgeoning remix schedule began to pick up pace, boosted were the beats of Robyn, Nicole Moudaber, Extrawelt, and Sébastien Léger, culminating in the ‘Retouched’ 12” tweaking Steve Lawler, Booka Shade and Marc Romboy.
Blessing the back catalogues of Drumcode, Suara, Snatch and Get Physical meant the unveiling of their own KD Music, always a long-term goal for the pair, was a natural knock-on effect. They may have been quoted with tongue only partially in cheek by running a label with a “we produce it, and if we like it, we release it” ethos, but it seemed a risk-free declaration given the pair’s established quality control, extending to giving rising talents a way in, and inviting Eddie Amador and Danny Serrano to their ranks.
After what has been a watershed Kaiserdisco era celebrating 50 KD Music releases this year, their new baby KD Raw is prepared to get to the heart of the dancefloor even quicker, starting in blistering fashion with the ‘Three Lions’/’Fifth Element’ EP. “The important concept behind Kaiserdisco is to make the people dance...it’s our main goal to stimulate the people!”
Blossoming as one of Techno’s prestige talents, Layton Giordani has genuinely displayed his character through performances world-wide. Setting the bar high for the next generation, Layton not only brings his immense energy through proper DJ sets but sweeps the ears of listeners from his significant catalog of productions with non other than Adam Beyer’s renowned Drumcode & Truesoul labels.
Berlin based DJ, producer and label owner Len Faki is one of the most outstanding and in-demand artists in techno's present age. He is an internationally requested dj, whose productions and remixes are played by techno’s most prominent names. Being a resident at Berlin’s prime techno club Berghain since its opening in 2004 keeps him open-minded as both, dj and producer. His sound is constantly evolving without ever losing its vibrant, unique energy and the passion and heart he puts into his sets. His gigs are an audio-visual adventure where he is not only playing for the crowd but rather performing for and with them.
Even before his move to Berlin in 2003, Len Faki had the experience of managing two highly acclaimed techno labels, Monoid and Feis. These early years of fruitful productivity provided the necessary groundwork for the next big steps in his career. Upon his arrival in Berlin, it didn´t take long until he became a resident-DJ in the newly opened Berghain - a match made in techno heaven and a monthly experience he wouldn´t want to miss for anything. The characteristic extra long DJ-sets in his "living room" inspire him to vary in tone and fully roll out his style to explore and further deepen his mastery of turning a DJ-set into a bona fide musical journey.
In 2003 he founded his own label figure as a new platform to play out his eclectic and open-minded vision of techno music. At first an outlet for his own productions, figure developed into a well recognized, highly acclaimed label, releasing household names like Johannes Heil or Slam as well as upcoming producers like Markus Suckut, A.Mochi, Psyk and others. To support and believe in the success of upcoming artists was and always will be a matter close to Len’s heart and so the label is constantly scouting for fresh talent to develop and produce. Closing in on it's 50th release, figure is setting a new standard for techno music that is equal parts versatile, exciting and cutting-edge.
In 2006 Len founded the new label Podium with the intention to produce a short running series of EPs, featuring exclusive tracks from colleagues and friends alongside his own creations. From its initial release Podium found a sizeable fan base and has since gained cult status within the techno fraternity.
One year later, in 2007 he released the double A-side "Rainbow Delta/ Mekong Delta" on Ostgut Ton, which became one of the biggest anthems of the year and an instant techno classic, heavily supported by techno’s top DJs. The success and popularity of Mekong Delta brought a wave of attention to Faki, who answered with numerous, extremely successful follow-up tracks like "My Black Sheep“ or „Odyssee II", which turned into massive club hits in 2007 and 2008, as well as "Death By House" for Sven Väth’s Cocoon label, a track, that ruled that year’s summer festivals and Ibiza's annual debauchery. Thanks to his passionate performances, he got constant, top-notch rankings in a variety of popular music magazines. In Groove magazine's reader poll at the end of 2007 he was voted to the top position in three categories like "Best Track" and "Best Producer" - a tremendous honor and triple status that no one had ever achieved before him.
Never one to rest on his laurels, Len´s love for the infinite variety of electronic music resulted in founding figure spc in 2009. An authentic label, releasing techno music in all its facets, open minded and unconditional in its passion. Just like Podium before it, figure spc quickly found a huge fan base, who appreciate the label’s tidbits each time.
In spring 2009, another milestone in Len’s career was passed with the release of "Berghain 03" on Ostgut Ton, Len Faki’s first commercial mix-CD. Accompanied by two 12 inches with exclusive tracks from fellow producers like Radio Slave and Len himself, "Berghain 03" further reinforced his status as one of the most innovative and versatile techno DJs in the business who pairs a deep understanding of balancing stripped-down funkiness and modern techno sensibilities.
Since then Len has found more and more pleasure in editing tracks for his DJ- sets to create his own musical universe and further develop his unique sound on stage. Len Faki’s bone-dry but communicative execution style sets him apart as a true gentleman behind the turntables, an artist whose sets are based on raw passion and beauty, who uses his fingertips like sensors on a Richter scale, gauging, anticipating as well as triggering eruptions on the dance floor...
"Music is freedom..“ ... freedom to express, process and transform your emotions while creating a bond with the audience. For Lilly there's no better way to initiate this bond, than with sending her audience on a musical journey with her DJ sets.
It's as simple as that, electronic music just has been her passion ever since. With powerful, impulsive tech and melancholic deep sounds, intriguing melodies and electrifying basslines, Lilly creates a unique and energetic vibe sending her audience straight to outta space on a trip where return tickets are not needed anymore. Now in his mid twenties, Italian Luigi Madonna has been appearing on flyers since the age of just 14 when he got an early break playing the Impero II club. What was initially just a hobby soon turned into a full time pursuit for the man and now he spends his weekends playing in North and South America, South Africa and all across Europe. Born in the same town as Joseph Capriati - who has been something of a mentor for Madonna - the man’s sound leans heavily on techno in the mould of greats like Rino Cerrone, Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke and Richie Hawtin.
Since 2008 Luigi has been released on influential labels like Material Series, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and Richie Hawtin and John Aquaviva’s Plus 8. Each of the records shows a dynamic passion for music and takes in an endless search for new sounds away from the norm. Some of the most important releases in his career include the ‘Madonna EP’ released on the influential Loose Records in 2009 and then more recently EPs like ‘In the Box’ on Excentric Muzik , ‘Venus De Milo’ on Octopus, his latest works on Analytictrail, ‘New World’ with a remix from his mentor Joseph Capriati and the well received ‘Sensation EP’ on the hugely influential Plus 8 label. These have all helped stand Luigi apart from the crowd and showcased his constant search for experimental and unpredictable sounds.
DJs like Richie Hawtin, Pan Pot and Adam Beyer have all been known to chart or play Luigi’s precision cut techno weapons in the past. As a remixer, too, Luigi is much in demand having reworked for artists and labels including Trapez, Hidden, Analytictrail, Mauro Picotto, Markantonio, The Advent, Sasha Carassi, spektre and has also appeared on a number of compilations like Best of Driving Forces, Looking Ahead on Octopus Records and Rekluse Gold Volume Two.
As for the future there will be more remixes and originals, as well as plenty of appearances on radio shows around the world. So many requests have come in recently his 2013 is full already, so look out for guest slots on Dave Clarke’s White Noise Radio Show, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode show and Marco Bailey’s Elektronic Force podcast.
Man With No Shadow - shady name for a respectable artist. Throwing legendary raves and rocking dance floors for the past decade, he has earned his stripes as an icon of Dutch club culture. Known as a DJ first, he’s made some big steps as a producer recently, finetuning his ‘positive take on techno’ with releases on labels like OFF Recordings, Drumcode and 100% Pure.
Eventually, it was his his ‘Drumfeld EP’ on 100% Pure that became his breakthrough as a producer and a carreer-defining EP. The release got massive international feedback and scored for weeks in Beatport’s techno charts. Musically, it stood out by combining the power of techno and a rave-inspired touch. Altogether, feeling like a soundtrack for the warehouse years with GZG - the organization he entered the scene with in the 00’s, throwing notorious raves.
As co-founder and resident DJ of these infamous GZG parties, Man With No Shadow made an impact on the Dutch scene. An entire generation of underground clubbers was inspired by their raves in old warehouses and deserted factories. To this day, the parties are talked about and it was here that his so called ‘formative years’ as a DJ took place. Evolving into a blend of silk-mixed house and techno which he played at every relevant club and festival in The Netherlands.
The last years marked a new chapter of Man With No Shadow’s career as he invigorated his focus on music production. After the ‘Drumfeld’ highlight he aswered with a release on OFF Recordings, continuing the techno approach with a freaky twist. The year 2018 saw another EP on Misfit Music and an addition to Drumcode’s A Sides compilation with ‘Manila’.. an out-of-the-box track that makes you wonder what’s next.. Stay tuned.
Marco Faraone is a prolific and versatile producer whose incendiary live sets have earned him the attention of all the right people.
Hailing from Tuscany, Italy, Faraone grew up immersed in music - his father was a DJ in the 80s, working for a local radio station, whilst his grandfather was also a folk singer and a musician. Surrounded by these diverse musical influences, Marco started playing around with hiphop records from the likes of Run DMC and Tupac, graduating into drum n bass when he wanted something a little “freakier”. His talent didn’t go unnoticed for long, as Faraone landed his first gig at just 14 years old.
As his style developed, Marco became fascinated with the 90s house championed by Masters At Work and Todd Terry, whilst admiring Laurent Garnier for his ability to effortlessly play diverse sets.
Developing his production skills led to his first release in 2008, ‘Arabia’ on Tenax Recordings. Although this effort was well received, it took a further few years of hard work and sending out demos before Faraone’s “big break”, with the 2010 EP ‘Strange Neighbors’ on Moon Harbour. When label boss Matthias Tanzmann played the title track out at DC10 in Ibiza, it prompted a huge reaction with a dancefloor sit-down. Marco Faraone had arrived.
He’s since developed a worldwide reputation as an extremely skilled producer, with releases ranging from the warm analogue house grooves of his most recent Moon Harbour EP ‘Next Level’, to the relentless, hypnotic techno of his latest EP for On Edge Society, ‘Black Air’. It’s thanks to this versatility that Faraone has released on so many respected labels in a relatively short period of time - Drumcode, Desolat, Be As One, Sci+Tec, Moda Black, Holic Trax, Get Physical and Truesoul have all provided a home for Faraone’s productions.
As a DJ, Faraone is equally busy. His popularity back home in Italy is plain to see, with 3 years of a residency and counting under his belt at the famed Tenax club in Florence. Founded in 1981, the club’s 16-year old Saturday night series ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ has played host to the likes of Adam Beyer, Loco Dice, Ricardo Villlalobos, Dixon, Marcel Dettman, Ben Klock, Carl Cox, Nina Kraviz, Solomun and Chris Liebing. Faraone believes “It’s one of the best clubs in the world.”
He’s managed to maintain the residency despite his increasingly packed tour schedule across the globe - a selection of recent highlights from his calendar include Belgian super festivals Tomorrowland and Extrema Outdoors, Barcelona’s Elrow, tastemaking US clubs Output, Verboten and Stereo Montreal, and infamous Berlin techno havens Panorama Bar and Watergate, with BPM Mexico on the horizon for 2016.
Having earned his stripes as both trusted resident and a travelling headliner, Marco has now launched his own event series in Italy, ‘Marco Faraone and Friends’. The latest edition saw 4000 clubbers invading the beach in Sicily, demonstrating the extent of Faraone’s loyal fanbase at home.
With so many high-profile dates behind him and the support of some of the most respected names in electronic music, Faraone is now perfectly placed to begin running his own imprint. Uncage Music will launch on November 16th, with Faraone’s brand new EP ‘Rotaryknobs’. Including an incredible extended Radio Slave remix of the title track and an edit from Markus Suckut, the EP has already been creating plenty of noise and attracting attention online.
Marco Faraone is an exceptionally multi-talented young DJ and producer, yet the launch of Uncage shows he is still adding strings to his bow - a sign of true staying power in this fast-paced industry.

Paul Ritch’s productions and performances, characterised by his powerful and harmonic techno with a touch of pure emotive soul, represent his true signature sound - the one that has projected him to global recognition.
In 2007, Paul Ritch took the techno scene by storm both on stage and as a producer. Ever since, Paul has been defined by his passionate musical rhetoric, projected in releases for labels like Drumcode, Sci+Tech, Saved, Cocoon Recordings, Soma Records and Bpitch Control, among many others, and remixes to classic tracks such as Ondu, Positive Education,Tropical Melons, Remainings III, Magic K, The Test and I'm Burning Inside. References that have led him to be included among Resident Advisor's all-time Top 100 charted artists.
In 2008, Paul brought to life his own imprint, Quartz Rec, conceived as a platform of artistic expression for showcasing cutting-edge techno sounds and a broad vision of electronic music. With its first release, “Split EP Part 1” (Paul Ritch, 2008), the label held a top 2 position on Beatport´s Techno chart. And following hot on the heels of its fifth birthday, Quartz Rec has already published original tracks and remixes from Okain, Paco Osuna, Nic Fanciulli, Thomas Muller, Barem, Carlo Lio, Dubfire, 2000 and One and Anton Pieete.
While his label Quartz Rec is well on the way to earning a very important place on the techno scene, Paul has recently created a new project called "All Jacks", a vinyl-only label with a special vibe for jacking beats.
Ritch's musical delirium and his creativity on stage are two of his unique trademarks and these have been witnessed in his live performances on four continents including clubs such as Amnesia, Space and Pacha in Ibiza, Fabric and Egg Club in London, Womb and Circus in Tokyo, Berghain and Watergate in Berlin, Goa in Rome and Madrid, Rex Club in Paris, among many others.
He has also performed at festivals including Time Warp (Holland and Germany), Monegros (Spain), Awakenings, Voltt Open Air and ADE (Holland), SW4 (UK), Neo Pop Festival (Portugal), Amore Festival (Italy), BPM (Mexico) and WMC (Miami).
2013 was a year in which Paul continued to excel and reinvent himself with his very own musical mindset, and without a doubt, 2014 will be transcendental for Ritch as he looks to keep growing and achieve even greater goals.
Petter B (Petter Börgesson) is a Gothenburg based DJ and producer. He started out behind the decks back in 1996. In 2012 he re-launched his solo career after having been a part of the famous techno duo "Hertz" for five years. Adam Beyer immediately signed Petter’s solo material to his well-known imprint Drumcode. His first appearance was on the compilation “Swedish Silver vol.2” together with the most prolific artists within the Swedish techno scene. Adam has heavily supported Petter’s tracks in his recent podcasts and gigs and more material will be released on Drumcode during the year.
2013 was the year Petter launched his own imprint Bond. Bond is the result of the way he plays and thinks of music as a DJ. After leaving Hertz, Petter made the decision to put DJing first and producing secondary when it comes to describing himself as an artist. This influenced his way of thinking about his productions. According to Petter all music has a purpose and makes out building blocks in a DJ performance. The driving idea behind Bond is therefor to create those blocks, rather than complete full-on productions with all the classic elements such as a break, hook, groove and peak present. When using these blocks the perception of a track can be changed every time it is played depending on how the DJ combines them. The unique bond that is created when a DJ combines tracks, loops and sounds is something that always has fascinated Petter.
In the beginning of Petter’s DJ career he was influenced by the 90s house sounds. The way into techno was rather straightforward. In a way he saw techno as all the best parts of house exaggerated to the extreme. The purity and less-is-more approach he found within techno appealed to him in contrast to the house music’s sometimes overcomplicated arrangements of vocals, leads, bridges and chorus. Techno was somewhat closer to the core of what he was looking for in music, skipping all the excess. He felt that techno gave him the biggest potentials to express his own creativity and character as a DJ. After finding techno at the end of the 90s a huge interest in learning about its origin began. He wanted to learn about what drove the first pioneers of the scene, which started the legacy. Knowing your past is essential in order to be able to understand the present and to be part of creating the future, to quote Petter.
The heart of Petter B’s studio is digital but many of its veins are connected to hardware effects, synths and drum machines. The possibility to do what’s not intended is a great benefit of using hardware compared to a solely digital environment. Adding imperfections and dirt are some of the keys in his way of producing. Limitations are also something that Petter finds rewarding from a creative stand point. To be forced to make a decision on how a sound should be and then record it, without the possibility to redo it a week later, can be a good thing. It brings focus to the present and necessity of formulating the idea in the making of a track. Trusting his ears and constantly questioning what he hears has made experimenting more rewarding over the years. According to Petter, such things as “good luck” comes more often to those who train their senses to be sensitive enough to spot the openings when they appear. Some people might just never realize they’ve already missed them.
Over the years Petter has gained worldwide respect as a DJ and producer. Example of people that has supported, charted and played his work are Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Mauro Picotto, Marco Bailey, Sasha Carassi, Umek, Secret Cinema, Alan Fitzpatrick, Laurent Garnier, Dr. Motte, Mark Knight, Eddie Halliwell, Tom Hades, Danny Tenaglia, Slam, Technasia, Truncate, Gary Beck, Alan Fitzpatrick, Ben Sims, DVS1 and Kevin Saunderson.
Up until today Petter has released lots of tracks and remixes under different names and on different labels around Europe. For example Drumcode (SWE), Defected (UK), Underwater Recordings (UK), Sway (SWE), HzTrax (SWE), Abyss (SWE), Atom (SWE), 1605 (SLO) and Patterns (NE) to name a few. His success in the industry has led to frequent gigs at different events and clubs throughout and beyond the borders of Europe.

After so many years in the business plus four albums under their belt, the dynamic duo took it upon themselves to push their personal envelope on LP number five by producing the much acclaimed downtempo album “Destination Unknown”. Boasting flavors of Hip-Hop, Dub and soul they managed to top the Beatport chart from more than 4 months in a genre they have never topped previously.
It seems there’s no boundaries when talking of Pig&Dan’s diversity.
So many things have happened since Ramiro López took his first steps in music… While he was very young he spent his days listening to the radio and specialized in compilations but in 1996 he started sharing around the clubs his passion for music working as a DJ, before becoming a producer. His musical creativity and innovation has always been latent throughout his life. He has progressed at a steady pace with great success releasing music on highly relevant imprints such as Drumcode or Suara and became -alongside Arjun Vagale- head honcho of the brand new label Odd Recordings.
In 2006 Ramiro made the leap to music production, researching and acquiring knowledge, experiences, sharing concerns with other artists and gradually defining his melody. Creation became a way of life for him. His music is not just techno , House or a single style; there’s a whole mix of different styles such as R’n’B, downbeat, disco, funk, tech and groove… with the purpose being to have a good time, share and enjoy the dance floor with everybody. In addition, he offers something that is cool, fresh and simply unique. He is now unstoppable, working to get better every single day.
His wholehearted dedication at work is obtaining great results releasing on: Drumcode (“Clap Your Hands” alongside Coyu), INTEC (“This & That” it was included within Carl Cox’s “New Year Weapons” published by Mixmag), Octopus Recordings, Toolroom Trax, Terminal M, SCI + TEC, Bedrock (Nicole Moudaber remixed his banger “That's Not Happening”), Cecille, Noir, Defected or Tronic among many others … And of course as said above, he is an active part in the Suara platform, the thrilling and exciting “Digging Deeper EP” for example, achieving significant success and increasing recognition in the electronic scene.
The wheel never stops and Ramiro is constantly evolving: involved in many projects, his desire since the beginning is to make people live and enjoy what they listen to while he is working in the booth. He has collaborated with great artists and is constantly on the road travelling all around the world and playing in cities like Sao Paulo, Beijing, Miami, Mumbai, Mexico, Berlin, Zurich or Ibiza delighting everyone with his music. It’s actually very remarkable his presence in South America and the US. We can say without doubt that he is part of the new wave of Spanish artists. With a lot still to offer Ramiro is an artist to bet on.
Roberto Capuano is one of the most talented producers in the international Techno scene born in 1987 and raised from the Neapolitan underground school. He started his career as a DJ/Producer since he was a kid due his strong addiction to Electronic Music and composition. Graduated as Sound Engineer at Academy of Music, soon got the attention of the Techno veterans Markantonio and Rino Cerrone that gave him the opportunity to work on the most famous Neapolitan labels like "AnalyticTrail" and "Unrilis" becoming later A&R of this last. After a lot of productions and remixes released on respectable labels, he finally lands on one of the most important "Drumcode Records", first with V.A. compilations and later in 2013 with a Solo EP called "Vertigo" that was been on Beatport Top 100 Techno at 1st place for more than one month and staying in the chart for almost one year.
His music is played by the most famous Djs of the globe like Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Markantonio, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Dave Clarke and Ben Sims just to name a few. His Dj Sets are very energetic, full of groovy and dark oriented music but at the same time his sessions are eclectics and suitable to all different kind of dancefloors. Roberto Capuano is a DJ who played in the most important spots around Europe like Monegros Festival Italy, Decibel Outdoor Festival (Hilvarenbeek), Alchemy Festival (Torino), Old River Park (Napoli), Sonar Off Week (Barcelona), The Egg (London), Atlantico (Roma), Inox (Toulouse), Air (Amsterdam), Universal Dog (Lahr) and many more.
He is still active today on Drumcode Records and even on Naples based labels with some projects that are going to be released and he is involved since the end of 2014 in a duo live project with his buddy Luigi Madonna called "Black Division".
Not many artists are lucky enough to release a track that defies genre classification and reaches into mainstream culture, with people enthusiastically embracing its melody and adopting it as if it were a football anthem.
Taken from the critically acclaimed LP “Satellite” (out on Drumcode in September 2014), “Rave” has become an instant classic, a timeless piece of music that stayed on the N°1 Beatport Techno spot for more than two months, and for more than a year and a half in its overall chart, gaining more than six million clicks on Youtube (becoming the most clicked Techno track ever).
Since 1996, a landmark year for him thanks to the worldwide success of his track “Zoe” produced as Paganini Traxx, Sam Paganini’s stylistic experimentations have gone from strength to strength, leading him to collaborate and release his music on several record labels until Techno pioneer Richie Hawtin welcomed him to his Plus8 imprint in 2011 with the “Cobra” EP.
With the subsequent releases of the “Body To Body” EP on Cocoon Recordings and the “Prisma”, “Eros” and “Black Leather” EPs on Drumcode, all reaching the highest spots on Beatport’s Techno Chart, his unique musical journey has achieved great success both on the underground circuit as well as on the mainstream channels.
The track “Polyester” (with “Fire In My Arms” one of the smashing hits from the “Body To Body” EP) was featured both on the playlists of many underground DJs and on those of some of biggest names in the industry like Moby, becoming Beatport’s “Techno Track Of 2013”.
To this day, Sam proudly stands out as the only Italian artist to release under his own name on Plus8, Cocoon and Drumcode. Beside his studio work and production time, Sam’s DJ appearances are among the most requested by promoters worldwide: his sets are characterized by powerful grooves and have been described as “Sexy Groovy Dark Techno”, which speaks volumes, literally, on what to expect from his performances.
He has taken the stage at legendary clubs such as Berghain (Berlin), Output and Cielo (New York), Rex (Paris), Crobar (Buenos Aires), Exchange (Los Angeles), Fuse (Bruxelles), Stereo (Montreal), Club4 (Barcelona) and Cocoricò (Riccione) just to name a few, and at Festivals like Awakenings, Nature One, Mayday and Tomorrowland.
2016 will see him tour internationally all over the globe including shows at Music On (Amnesia Ibiza) and Materia (Privilege Ibiza), and at Festivals like Sziget (Hungary), Sonus (Pag Island), KAPPA Future Festival (Italy), Love Family Park (Germany) and Awakenings (Amsterdam).

2016 promises to be one of the biggest years yet in the glittering career of the dynamic Glaswegian duo SLAM (aka Stuart McMillan & Orde Meikle).
As Slam's Soma label prepares to embark on the 25th year of it's epic journey, you only have to take one look at it's release schedule to understand why they have remained on the cutting edge and firmly at the forefront of musical innovation.
Protagonists since the early days and always in the vanguard, forward-thinking techno producers Slam's recent 'Transmissions: Glasgow compilation showed a continued commitment to the future, this time centred around the talent of their home town and focusing on the burgeoning Techno scene which is so prominent in the city.
Over the last 3 years the pair have also developed 'Slam Radio', delivering some of the best DJs and music that Techno has to offer to a massive and loyal weekly following, with a truly underground flavour.
SLAM instigated Glasgow's underground House music scene in the late 1980s, going on to be instrumental in the explosion of the UK Techno scene, and their quarter of a century of exploits have seen them travel far and wide, leaving scorch marks on dance floors everywhere while taking their uncompromising vision of Techno around the world.
Closer to home, since 1997, SLAM have curated the 'Slam Tent' at Scotland's biggest festival 'T in the Park', with some of the world's best known DJs and live acts playing alongside underground ground breaking talent on their monumental stage. Their firmly established monthly club events in Glasgow, 'Pressure' (formerly at the Arches now at SWG3) and 'Return To Mono' at the Sub Club, are ranked amongst the best nights out on the planet.
After presenting some of their finest work to date with their fifth album, 'Reverse Proceed', the legendary producers continue to demonstrate why they are an important part of modern day electronic music, recently with their remix of label mates' Clouds' 'Complete Control', a veritable bomb which is being dropped by the leading DJs across the spectrum of the Techno scene, being followed by their enormous 'Make You Move' on their Paragraph track series.
SLAM have never been ones to rest on their musical laurels and they are constantly and consistently experimenting in the studio, working multitude of tracks, many of which have surfaced in recent times in the form of singles for labels like Figure, Drumcode and of course their own Soma Records and Paragraph imprints. When Soma reached its 400th single release, who better to provide the soundtrack, and with Soma reaching it's silver jubilee of 25 years in the game the duo who were instrumental in its formation will reach another pinnacle in a glittering ascent.
One of Techno music’s best-selling artists and the mind behind a string of Number One hits, Space 92 is a trailblazing French producer.
After beginning life as an experimental side-project for members Paul Maddox and Rich Wakley, Spektre find themselves over a decade later as established and respected features of the Techno landscape.
As a production outfit, they have recently released on such imprints as Elevate, Phobiq and Unrilis, as well as their own Respekt Recordings (now approaching it’s 150th release) to the acclaim of their peers, with the likes of Adam Beyer, Carl Cox and Alan Fitzpatrick among their plaudits. As their near-permanent presence in the Techno download charts confirms, the quality and consistency of Spektre’s studio output is a given.
As performers, Spektre’s unique sound has taken them to some of the biggest and most highly regarded venues worldwide, with frequent bookings by the likes of Space Ibiza, Exit Festival, Pacha Buenos Aires and Burning Man. On stage, their long-standing chemistry and constant desire to experiment always results in an exciting spectacle. Their live exploits are also documented alongside guest slots from esteemed cohorts in a fortnightly Mutual Respekt Podcast, which is syndicated across the globe.
Thomas Schumacher was eleven years old when Depeche Mode released Construction Time Again. "I'll never forget sitting at home, listening to the album in my headphones, trying to figure out how they made those sounds."
Thirty-four years later, Thomas Schumacher still burns with curiosity. The Berlin- based DJ and producer makes light of his status as one of the most enduring, versatile artists in electronic music. "What I love about Techno is that it demands that you question yourself, reinvent yourself."
Thomas Schumacher is always pushing his own boundaries. "The art of being relevant," he says, "Is to forget what you know.” In his early days as an artist, he had to learn how to physically create the sounds he heard in his head. Now, as a virtuoso, the challenge is to use his breadth and depth of musical knowledge to convey profound emotion. "Techno is not just a tool to make people dance," he says. "It is a very personal, intimate way of expressing myself."
This intimacy fuels the unique vibe of a Thomas Schumacher DJ set. He compares himself to the captain of a ship. “I purposely steer my sets into rough waters. I want to help people get out of their heads and into their bodies. I create a safe space for people to lose their minds, in the best possible way. They know they don't need to worry or be afraid, because I’ve got them. I know what I'm doing. They can let go and just be."
When not guiding clubbers through seas of sound, Schumacher reaches them via his productions on his label Electric Ballroom, and his weekly NOW podcast. NOW is a showcase for his low-key charm and impeccable ear for a great tune. And, like his DJ sets, the podcast is a forum for his studio output including the recent Natural Rhythm EPs on Noir.
The more you do, the more there is to explore, the more opportunities to invent, connect, and imagine. "I am always the one to change it up," Thomas Schumacher grins. "My ongoing ambition is to connect to the crowd, year after year. It's what lights me up."
His latest release, Natural Rhythm III on Noir Music, lit up the Beatport Techno chart, going straight to Number 1. Its highlight is "Stella", a propulsive anthem dedicated to his daughter. He sees no reason to compartmentalise his music and life. Everything is connected, everything is authentic. "There is no other version of me," he says. "When you meet me, you meet Thomas Schumacher."
Stockholm based Mikael Nordgren, aka Tiger Stripes has slowly but surely built up a solid international career as a prestigious and well sought after underground producer, remixer and DJ. As Tiger Stripes he has travelled the world playing his deep techno and futuristic tech house. His music has been released by heavyweight underground labels, like Desolat, Drumcode and Cajual and he has collaborated with legends like Kerri Chandler, Adeva, Leroy Burgess and Jerome Sydenham.
Valeri Ivanov “Timmo” was born in Pleven, Bulgaria (1989). His talent in music was first sparked at the age of fourteen when he started composing music in popular genres. Despite the fact he was sixteen, he was drawn and fascinated by the underground clubbing scene. This new interest had an immediate impact on his own music productions.
By the end of 2009 Timmo got his first break in the music industry. His collaboration with his good friend PHM won the “WE LOVE SPACE...” contest and their remix of TRNSSTR’ “The Joker” was released on Timo Garcia’s Berwick Street. The remix was featured in Carl Cox Global and was one of the top arsenals of Timo Garcia’s own sets for a long time.
Timmo’s career was full speed ahead as he found his new home in the name of the dutch techno label co-founded by Remy and duo On/Off - Fone Audio. After numerous releases, played and supported by the likes of Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, among many others, Timmo scored his first record to Sian’s Octopus Recordings. That was clearly not enough, as he also mixed a VA Compilation for the imprint, including tracks by Slam, Juan Sanchez, himself and more. To finish 2013 at top level, Valeri made appearance on Markantonio’s Analytictrail with his 3-tracker “Bermuda”.
We should also mention numerous remixes he did for artists such as Sam Paganini, Jewel Kid, The Junkies and Worakls to name a few.
In 2014 things got pretty serious for the 24year old Bulgarian, as he signed his first record to the most successful and honored techno label - Drumcode. All four tracks made it to the Beatport charts, as “Canvas” was Timmo’s all-time best. It was not only played by the biggest names in the techno scene like Adam Beyer, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin and Sasha, but also found place in the mixes of Tiësto, Above & Beyond and Roger Sanchez among others.
The success Timmo had with his music, quickly started to give its fruits. For the past years, he spread his sound over some highly rated clubs such as Sugarfactory in Amsterdam, La Guacara Taina (The Cave) in Santo Domingo, which is one of the most interesting clubbing locations in the world, as the club is an actual underground cave. Timmo joined the well-known Komplex 457 in Zurich, Magdalena in Berlin, Tanzhaus West in Frankfurt, Cabaret Aleatoire in Marseille and many other clubs around the globe in countries like Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Dominican Republic, Switzerland, Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia and more.
The words “world-renowned” and “influential” get thrown around all too often these days, to the point of almost becoming cliché. While few artists actually measure up, all it takes is one look at Victor Calderone’s 20+year track record and the facts speak for themselves. From past collaborations with some of the biggest names in pop like Madonna, Sting and Beyoncé Knowles, to more recent collaborations with the likes of Adam Beyer, Richie Hawtin, Nicole Moudaber and Paco Osuna, Victor’s constantly evolving approach and contributions to the worlds of house and techno music has earned him a place firmly at the top among the world’s most prolific DJs and producers.
Introduced to New York nightlife at only 15 years of age by his older brother Cesar, Victor quickly developed an intense passion for dance music that would form the foundation for the Brooklyn native’s remarkable career. While his accomplishments as a remixer, producer and DJ are well known among those in the scene, Victor understands and appreciates the importance of continually evolving. He has reinvented his musical style and now treats listeners to an edgier darker sound.
An influential and inspirational talent, Victor has entertained millions of people, generously donated to charitable causes and earned the utmost respect of his peers, all while boldly pushing the universal limits of originality and ingenuity.
Music is something you have to experience. It touches you in the most intimate way. And that’s what music is to Victor Ruiz: the strongest form of art.
With a Rock ’n’ Roll background, is no mystery that Victor has a unique sound. For some years now, he has been known for his high-end quality of production, which has made him an established artist in the Techno scene. His “unofficial edits” of classic songs are very famous and part of Victor’s performances. The most popular ones are “Breathe” from The Prodigy, “Children” from Robert Miles, “Everything Counts” from Depeche Mode (in collaboration with Thomas Schumacher) and his latest edit of “Teardrop” from Massive Attack. He states that this is his way to pay tribute to their influences.
Apart from remixing officially big names of the electronic scene such as MOBY, Stephan Bodzin and Dubfire, he has reached many times #1 on Beatport with his signature peak time melodic sound.
Over the years, the Brazilian born Amsterdam-based producer has been touring all around the world, from big festivals to intimate clubs and from big clubs to intimate festivals, and it’s getting busier every day. He just can’t get enough!
As Victor injects pure love on every single work he does, thanks to music, he exists.
If there’s one thing Vinicius Honorio doesn’t do, it’s things in half measures. Hailing from the buzzing Brazilian metropolis of Rio de Janeiro, few artists are better versed in what it takes to succeed than Honorio. From DJing at school parties in 1998, to spending every last bit of spare change in record stores, to working in clubs at prestigious South American venues, it seems he was always destined to be a DJ.
For the best part of two decades and counting he has been DJing and producing music under various guises with an incredible rate of international success. Despite having a long and distinguished history as Drum & Bass DJ and producer BTK, releasing multiple albums and singles across a host of esteemed labels, touring the globe regularly as well as playing major festivals, he would always get drawn back to his long-lasting love affair with techno. Letting his heart take the lead, he started making serious in-roads in the studio and gradually honed his sound.
Fast forward to 2014 and Honorio makes the move to London to pursue his techno aspirations. After sending out demos to various DJs, dubspeeka got in touch offering feedback on his work and would later release his first effort ‘Circles’ on his Skeleton imprint. This proved to be a pivotal moment for someone who was a relative newcomer to making techno and really laid down a marker as a sign of things to come. 2016 saw one of his tracks feature on Space Ibiza’s 27th Anniversary compilation and the release of ‘Cosmos’ on Pig&Dan’s label Elevate. After sending Pig&Dan six tracks for consideration, they decided to sign all six and it charted at #8 on the Beatport techno chart; A testament to his already well-educated sound.
However, 2017 is the year that has proven to be his most successful yet, when his dream of releasing music on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode became a reality. After sending over demos, some back and forth over skype followed and Beyer decided to sign four tracks. During the latter half of 2016 and into 2017, the tracks would become a staple of his sets and heard by millions around the world through his Drumcode Live radio show. ‘Through The Darkness’ is a masterclass in darkened techno grooves, with each one of the four tracks managing to show off Honorio’s skill as a producer and just why he is firing on all cylinders. The release garnered the support of support from artists such as Len Faki, Laurent Garnier and Hot Since 82 amongst others and became the best-selling release on Beatport during the week of its release.
Hot on the heels of fulfilling his dream and accompanied by a Drumcode catalogue number tattoo, it seems there are no signs of slowing down for Honorio as he continues to push forward with work in the studio and on the road. Having already played across 5 continents, he has a tour diary that reads like pilot’s passport and with countless appearances at leading London clubbing institution Egg, we can expect to see a lot more from Honorio not only in London, but across the planet.
Over the last two years wAFF has become one of the most engaging artists on the international circuit joining the ever popular and influential Hot Creations / Paradise family, several highly commended releases and a residency with Jamie Jones’s ‘already under his belt. As the future offers up a whole world of opportunity, he's putting his all into creating music of the highest quality, built to unite and excite in equal amounts. He started out in North Yorkshire with no connection to the global night world apart from an unquenchable passion for music. But he listened. He worked. And now he’s right in the frame.
wAFF has a single, ‘Vibrationz’, forthcoming on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label. His Paradise DC-10 residency is the hottest tip for Ibiza 2015. He’s responsible for red hot tunes such as ‘Freaks’ for Sven Väth’s Cocoon imprint, and the supremely funky ‘Break A Sweat’, co-written with Spanish don Cuartero for the Leipzig label Moon Harbour (the Patrick Topping mix is also excellent). His music has been getting the nod from Sven Väth, Adam Beyer, Loco Dice, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola and dozens more. He’s even been asked to collaborate with Masters At Work. Not bad going. And that’s not all. Other wAFF collaborations in the works include Eats Everything, Patrick Topping, Cuartero and Argy, as well as remixes for Groove Armada (‘Final Shakedown’), Fur Coat (‘There’s No Time’), Hot Since 82 (‘Plane and Trains’), and Mike Gill featuring Robert Owens (‘In The Midst’).
wAFF grew up in Hull and got into dance music via the happy hardcore of the ‘Bonkers’ compilations. He then moved sideways into indie, during the minimal boom of 2003-04 he found a style of dance music that truly drew him in, the stripped down pulse of producers such as Troy Pierce, Audion and Minilogue. After this he threw himself into it. His Koala parties achieved success in Hull and Leeds, becoming genuine roots down rave sensations, done for love. He also spent three seasons is Ibiza, dancing all night, sucking up the music, figuring out what worked, distilling it all into his own music.
A former dancer and actor, self-expression has always come naturally to wAFF. Music became another extension of his creative output around 10 years ago when he began to flirt with production. He quickly became obsessed with making music but remained staunch in his belief that he would only release music if he thought it was going to make a big impact. So for several years he toiled away, inspired by visits to Ibiza, the early years of DC10; DJs like Marco Carola, Tania Volcano, Loco Dice and Luciano all feeding into his pool of inspiration. Along the way friends tried to encourage him to release the music he was making immediately, but he sat tight, adamant that he would wait until he'd struck gold. He now has an affinity with his studio that sees him making music for many of his waking hours.
A chance meeting with Richy Ahmed in Ibiza set the wheels in motion and, when the track was ready, he sent it to the Hot Creations A&R. It was snapped up immediately and the track left a trail of devastation in its wake, championed by the bossman Jamie Jones of course, and played by everyone from Sven Vath to Cajmere.
As you might be able to tell from the labels that he's releasing with wAFF is operating within the house and techno sphere, keeping it tough yet emotive, captivating the dancefloor and creating a deep, absorbing narrative with each track. Current inspirations include Ben Klock, Marcel Fengler, Fred P, Marcel Dettman & Oliver Deutchmann, masters in the art of combining rugged beats with deep, heartfelt melodies.
wAFF is a gifted young man, exuding energy from deep within. He applies this gift to his music, promoting positive vibes and connectivity through his music. He's proven time and again that he transmit powerful frequencies that captivate and transfix audiences around the globe.
This has turned out to be a fine thing for dancefloors across the world. For those who want the human throb of house tethered to the punchy, driving power of techno, wAFF is now the name.
wAFF's aim is simple; to make a difference to the world through the transmission of energy through music, judging by his progress so far, he's bound to achieve that righteous goal... and the positive beats keep rolling.
